Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward Directed by Harvey Mackie OKC Civic Center Freede Theatre Sept. 18– Oct. 11, 2009 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sunday Oct. 11th at 2 Blithe Spirit is the farcical tale of novelist Charles Condomine who, in order to gain information for his new book, consents to his wife hosting a séance. Trouble ensues when the medium, the eccentric Madame Arcati, contacts the spirit of Charles’s deceased first wife Elvira who immediately begins haunting his second wife. The production will be directed by OCTC company member Harvey Mackie, who has previously directed the production in Washington D.C.

Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl Directed by Robyn Arn OKC Civic Center Freede Theatre Oct. 23– Nov. 15, 2009 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sunday Nov. 15th at 2 Written by Pulitzer Prize nominated playwright Sarah Ruhl, Eurydice is a retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. When Eurydice suddenly dies on her wedding day, Orpheus must travel to the Underworld in order to rescue her. However, while she waits for rescue, Eurydice struggles to retain her memories of her life and of Orpheus. The production will be directed by Robyn Arn who previously directed OCTC's production of Equus. |

My Three Angels by Bella and Samuel Spewack Directed by Rosemary Orwig-Rodgers OKC Civic Center Freede Theatre Dec. 4– Dec. 20, 2009 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sunday Dec. 20th at 2 An alternative to the usual holiday fare, My Three Angels is the story of the Ducotel family, French emigrants who run a general store in Cayenne, French Guiana. The Ducotels find themselves struggling financially during the Christmas of 1910, due mostly to the greed of their patrons. When they hire three recent parolees from the colony prison to repair their damaged roof, the family gets assistance from the most unlikely of characters. |

Two Rooms by Lee Blessing Directed by Carol Klages OKC Civic Center CitySpace Theatre Feb. 5– Feb. 28, 2010 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sunday Feb. 28 at 2 When an American professor is taken hostage by terrorists in 1988 Beirut, his wife is left at home to await his safe return. She seeks help from a State Department official and a reporter who offers her the promise of friendship and publicity about her husband’s situation. Despite the distance separating them, the couple communicates through a series of letters which they can compose, but never send. |

King Lear by William Shakespeare Directed by Dr. David Pasto OKC Civic Center CitySpace Theatre April 2– April 25, 2010 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sunday Apr. 25th at 2 Lear, an aging king has decided to give up his throne and divide his kingdom among his three daughters Cordelia, Goneril and Regan. However, before he does so, he demands that each declare how much she loves him. So, begins Shakespeare’s tragic tale of loyalty, treachery and hubris. |

Top Girls by Carol Churchhill Directed by Doug Van Liew OKC Civic Center CitySpace Theatre May 14– June 6, 2010 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sunday June 6th at 2 Winner of the 1983 Obie Award, Top Girls has long been regarded as part of the canon of women’s theatre. The play revolves around the character Marlene, who has recently been promoted at work. Through a mix of fantasy, a dinner party with several important women from history, and reality, the challenges facing the women in Marlene’s office, the play comically explores the price paid to achieve success. |
